Awareness Month Showing on all days on the calendar

I just input DV awareness month in October and though I delete the end date, all days in the month are highlighted as awareness days. Isn't there a way to make this show up just on the first day of the month?

Nevermind, but there appears to be a bug in that I had to delete the record and repost it in order to change it to just display on the first day of the month.
