Vexflow for sight reading with a midi keyboard

Seems a bit dead in this forum so let me post what I'm doing with Vexflow!

I've been working on a tool to improve sight reading. I wanted to do things a bit differently from other sight reading apps that I've seen. I'm also approaching this from the point of view of someone who is actually teaching a child music (one that seems to sometimes be willfully obtuse when trying to teach sight reading to!). These differences are:

1. I wanted the app to work with a midi keyboard, not by clicking buttons on the screen.
2. I wanted to show a "ghost note" when you play to help you figure out where you're playing (and how far away from the note you are).
