What kind of issue?

  • Feature Request?
  • Bug

User story

It should be possible to easily see the average page size and load times across different domains and see this change over time.

An important piece of good CX is having a fast experience. Users lose trust in a website if they have to wait too long.

It should be possible to gather metics on this and demonstrate that the government is being responsible for the time of their citizens and for those paying for data, for the cost.

Acceptance Criteria

  • Panel allowing per agency information about average page MB
  • Panel allowing per agency information about average page speed (Google Lighthouse)

Notes

Both should be possible with Google Lighthouse.

This aligns with EO E.O. 14058

This is currently not a provided metric in GA4. It may be a feature that could be added to the DAP code repo https://github.com/digital-analytics-program/gov-wide-code.

@smarina04 can you determine if this is a valuable feature to add?
