SoCal Road Trip

week long road trip during spring break to explore the urban & nature of southern california.

event will take place march 22 2020, saturday or march 23 2020, sunday

Day 1

head down to SLO via HWY1:

possible interest points:

1. Bixby Creek Bridge
2. Point Sur Lighthouse
3. Pfeiffer Beach
4. McWay Cove/ McWay Fall
5. Elephant Seal Vista Point
6. Hearst Castle

Arrive in SLO

Night - SLO

Day 2

visit surrouding area of SLO, possible ATV / SKYDIVING

Night - SLO

Day 3

continue to head down south, via HWY 101 to santa barbara & check out Santa Barbara Fish Market

after lunch continue into LA, and spend a day here for food and sceneries.

Night - Los Angeles

Day 4

drive down from la to Salton Sea area, check out Salton City, East Jesus, Salvation Mountain. in the afternoon, we can head up to Joshua Tree Naional Park for the afternoon and head to [Palm Springs] for the night.

Night - Palm Springs

Day 5

head up nice and early after breakfast, explore Joshua Tree some more, then head over to Mojave National Preserve in the afternoon, check out some spots and get settled down in nearby hotel.

Night - Hampton Inn & Suites Ridgecrest or similar.

Day 6

again, up early, breakfast then head out to Death Valley National Park, plenty of spots to check out in Death Valley, it will be a good day in the valley.

Night - Drive Back or stay in surrounding area

Day 7 (optional if drove back on day 6)

drive up via the east side of Mt.Whitney, pass through Mono Lake- south lake tahoe - sacramento - back to san francisco
