It's not very fast, but I really like my own minimal html engine, html->string. It allows using backtick notation for "templating".

Yeah, html->string looks cool. Why don't you make it a ASDF system? Just create a repository with ASD file and add it to the Ultralisp.org, to make it available for other people!
