Использовать коды ошибок из http модуля
Методы put, get должный оперировать потоками, чтобы не вызывать ошибки выделения памяти на больших файлах
Уменьшить количество аргументов, передаваемых в _request засчет использования объекта с настройками запроса.
Заиспользовать gzip для передачи файлов
