Commit da3ba2a to the access-esm1.5 branch of MOM5 stops the model from requiring unused biogeochemistry input files (related issue here). These changes should be included in the next version of the ESM1.5 MOM5 executable.

No - we hadn't updated to a version of MOM5 that includes these changes. I've just tagged a new version of MOM5 and submitted a PR to update ACCESS-ESM1.5 to use it.
