Uncaught TypeError: e.indexOf is not a function

Using:

• TFS 2018Update2
• Chrome 66.0.3359.181 and Edge 40.15063.674.0
• WorkItemDetails Widget 1.1.21

Result:
When I add a "Work Item Details" widget to a dashboard (or edit the existing widget) then I am unable to edit/configure the widget.
The browser console shows:

jquery.min.js:2 Uncaught TypeError: e.indexOf is not a function
at w.fn.init.w.fn.load (jquery.min.js:2)
at jquery.dotdotdot.min.js:13
