Why did you stop updating?

What happened to A1111 anyways? The last update was 7 months ago. So much has happened since then. Is this project abandoned?

I'm curious as well. I can only imagine that it may have something to do with all the rapid-fire SD variant releases (Illustrious, SD3, 3.5, Flux, etc.). It'd take a small army to keep up with all of that. At some point, a complete recode or completely seperate app would be needed to accomodate all these variants. Of course this is all just conjecture.

In any case, I hope all is well with A1111 (the dev).

On a side note, can anyone point to a stable fork that works well for SD1.5, Flux and Illustrious? Forge is ok but is extremely buggy.

I don't know about Flux but have you tried Reforge?
I found it more stable than standard Forge.

You could also try SD.Next. It supports Flux and a ton of models under the sun.
or even ComfyUI.

The dev branch is still getting updates; they just haven't been merged to master.

It can be installed with git clone -b dev https://github.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui

Are there any notable updates regarding generation speed or image quality in the dev branch? Should I consider using the dev branch? If it were a release candidate, I would use it right away, but I'm a bit concerned about using the dev branch.
