Hello, Simply put, user interfaces - windows, buttons, text boxes etc. are not developed from scratch for each application, they come as pre-built components able to form the end-user apps. AccessKit makes sure these components can communicate properly with screenreaders, which in turn make the apps built using them accessible, or at least it makes its components accessible. Note this library is meant to be used only by the toolkits themselves, it's not something that would or should appear in the code of actual apps, only as a dependency of the GUI toolkit they use. |
