monitors connected but not detected, errors in --debug #950

xrandr --listproviders is able to detect the monitors, but no matter what i do they will not connect
when doing sudo ./displaylink-debian.sh --debug i get these errors

i am on a laptop (lenovo ideapad, forget which), and connected to one of my 3 external monitors directly via hdmi
