adoptopenjdk cask does not exist

Documentation mentions an adoptopenjdk cask:

But an adoptopenjdk cask does not exist:

An adoptopenjdk cask can only be found in a third-party tap for which authorship is unclear:

Possible solutions:
a) provide an adoptopenjdk cask (caveat: cask name will clash with homebrew/cask tap; however that didn't stop an adoptenjdk8 cask: #106)
b) document that adoptopenjdk cask is provided by a third-party

I have the same issue, since I wanted to install brew install --cask adoptopenjdk8

Just to confirm, is the adoptopenjdk cask located here https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-cask/blob/HEAD/Casks/adoptopenjdk.rb not official or maintained by the team here?

We do maintain that cask - @gdams - do we need to update this given our move to Adoptium?
