The hit during "A" should get transferred to the segment hits for split B.
This would require having a way to distinguish between a manual split vs a manual skip:
I'm thinking, an event_listener_new function that the autosplitter can call. It returns an integer handle which the autosplitter can pass to an event_listener_get_event function.
The event_listener_get_event function returns either 0 for "no events in the queue" or a non-zero integer handle which the autosplitter can pass to functions like event_get_type, similarly to how settings values work with settings_value_get_type. Event types could include ManualSplit, ManualSkipSplit, and ManualUndoSplit, but it would be non-exhaustive to leave room to add more event types later.
Or just Split, SkipSplit, UndoSplit, Reset, etc. Events which trigger whether it's manual or from the autosplitter itself.
