On undo split, also undo any change to comparison hits that might have come from the split #101

For example:

It's on split A, and on a good pace.
Something wrongly splits A and it moves on to split B.
Manually undo back to A.
Make sure the "good pace" from wrongly splitting A is not in the comparison hits after the undo. Either don't put it in comparison hits at that point yet, or somehow undo the change to comparison hits.
