Support line and column number at opening file

Hi Alex,

Supports Cudatext this feature? I didn't find the information in the documentation.

I often use CudaText as an external tool from other IDEs.

Filenames can be passed with suffix (at the end of each filename) specifying the line/column numbers for the initial placement of the caret: @line or @line@column

Maybe the error is only with MacOS

'@' char was used since Cud 1.214.0. what macOS version did you test?

can you pass the FULL file path in that test? with @3 at and. inside quotes: ....... "/file/path/test.txt@3"

Let me do more testing

/Users/my_user > open -a /Applications/CudaText.app "/Users/my_user/test_file.txt@3"
The file /Users/my_user/test_file.txt@3 does not exist.
/Users/my_user > 

I think the issue is more related to the way macOS works, because I get the same results with ST and VSCode.

For example with VSCode I need to use something like:

code --goto "test_file.txt:2:1"

I cannot find the msg string "The file" so it is not Cud's string. So it is error from the macOS shell?

What works Alex, is invoking the application as follow:

/Applications/CudaText.app/Contents/MacOS/cudatext test_file.txt@3

The problem when I launch the file this way is that the Terminal waits until I close CudaText to regain the terminal prompt.

VSCode has this option to "add" to PATH 'code' in order to use this kind of launching

okay, this works. but again, we had error from the macOS shell. it is not Cud's error line. it is shell's error line.
maybe you can ask this question on StackOverflow or similar site?

Yes Alex, this is the way that MacOS works when you invoke an app. Consider the "issue" as resolved.
