How do I get editor's handle after file_open()?

Note: "ed" is always the current editor, after file_open() current editor changes, and "ed" is the new cur editor.

Example opens untitled tab, and writes multi-line text to it:

file_open('')
ed.set_text_all(text)

but my ed get None...

Try app.ed.

ed cannot be None if you import it from cudatext.

you mean that 'ed' was redefined in plugin so it was None? ok. more help needed?

the doc say

after file_open() current editor changes, and "ed" is the new cur editor.

So I assume ed will automatically update, which is incorrect.

If you set ed = None first, then ed won't auto get the handle after file_open()

Yes. And plugin must never change ed, it is stable needed const.
