Meteor Recording on AllSky

Hi everyone,

I need some advice on how to set up meteor recordings so they can be saved in a specific folder or bookmark and published on an AllSky website. I'm a complete beginner when it comes to setting up AllSky, so I’d appreciate any tips or guidance. I'd like to know if it's complicated and what is needed to make it work.

At present Allsky cannot save images in any folders other than the default image folders by day.

@Michal198569, what's the URL to that Website?

The Settings -> Allsky Website describes how to add icons to the bar on the left, but that's the easy part. If we can figure out who ownes the Website we can ask them how they got saved their meteor images.

Hi,
Yeah, I’ve enabled that module. I’m still testing it. I managed to create the icon as well, but I don’t know how to set the “url” yet. I’ll wait until the module is no longer experimental, and maybe it will be included in an update where everything will be set up.

Not sure. I suspect they are using something like Astride in python to check the images, the only way to know is to ask he users

My suggestion for the url field is to create a directory in allsky on your web server called meteors and set url to meteors/. Then copy videos/index.php on the server to meteors/index.php and change lines 3 and 4 in the new index.php. Line 3 should be whatever you name the files, without the -YYYYMMDD.jpg.

Line 4 is whatever should appear at the top of the page, probably Meteors.

Thanks for the help. Everything was successfully set up. I just want to report a possible bug, if it really is a bug. For now, I have to disable the module; otherwise, I can’t see the temperatures and similar data.

Oops, my mistake. I misinterpreted the text. It's fixed now, is this OK?
