Highlight Search word(s) #1572

Hi Debra I believe this request has been raised elsewhere also. You can see more related to searching here: |
Thanks! And I love the idea of when for exam I search "Elder," the word "Elders" also shows up in the produced search. |
Debra, I don't think searching for elder will show you elders also. You
have to search for elder* to get all words that start with elder.

Yes, that request has been around for a while I think. Ben's suggestion is how to do it presently. |
Hello Ben,
Yes, I knew searching for "elder" would not produce search results for "elders," but I did not know using the asterisk symbol would include all the words that that start with what you have input. This is fantastic, thanks for the tip!

Also if you want to search for Strong numbers for modules that have
Strong's dictionary coded withing you can do the following:
For Hebrew use: strong:h3068

Hey Ben,
I will take any tips I can get to be able to deepen my study of God's Word, thanks...
But, I am not tracking. Could you dumb it down for me? How & where exactly do I search for Strong's numbers? My husband & I were just wondering the other day if that was possible, but couldn't figure it out.
Thanks,
D.

Let's say you use NASB module which has Strong's dictionary ref. numbers. |
Got it. Thank you for helping out a tech-challenged grandma :)
I really appreciate it!
This is really cool, gonna go play with that now.

I figured out why my search wasn't working earlier, strong:h & steong:G is case sensitive.
This is a very nice feature.
Thanks.

Yes, it is case sensitive, sorry I should have mentioned that. I believe
there was a request long long time ago to convert the input to lowercase
regardless of what the user enters and I don't know where that request
ended up.

Addressed on #186 |
When searching for a word(s) or a phrase in the Bible, is it possible to highlight the word(s) or phrase in each verse that the search produces. This feature would be very handy.
