Video thumbnails aren't showing in the PhotoStation or apps and it appears to be a combination of 3 things:

filenames for video previews have changed to SYNOPHOTO_FILM.flv (from SYNOPHOTO:FILM.flv)
for H264 video formats (.mp4, .mov) the video preview is now a symlink to the original file - no conversion is needed and the thumbnail symlink name is SYNOPHOTO_FILM_H264.mp4
permissions on the generated thumbnails are be too restrictive (660 instead of 666 - this is a post-script step, though it'd be nice if the script could do this as well)
