Hello! I've just received my RE2 Multi board in the mail, and I'm attempting to No Key the drive.
Obtaining the System Key worked as it was outlined in the guide, but I've come to a roadblock in then obtaining the game key(s) as well.
Using the modified mxstartup.exe here: https://github.com/ArcadeHustle/RingEdge_NoKey_softmod/issues/15 OR the modified Truecrypt binaries in both Windows/System32 and Minint/System32 result in no keyfiles showing up.
I've also been able to get into the Truecrypt System/Execute/System file, and have been able to edit mxsegaboot and mxkeychip with the files provided, but the board still throws the no keychip error.
The RE2 Multi handles games by having them stored on a separate HDD from the main SSD, with each having it's own folder + (I assume) truecrypt container, like so:

This leads me to believe that either the Multi or the Red keychip it normally requires function differently compared to the regular RE2 boards, but I don't have any experience with the non-multi systems so I really don't know.
Does anyone have any knowledge or ideas for how to go about emulating or obtaining the keyfile for this system, or anything else I'm obviously doing wrong? Thanks!

I wounder if you have the key chip plugged in ?

The red key absolutely does behave different, so does the proper RE2 multi over all. You may consider some of the information on this thread. http://www.emuline.org/topic/1881-frontend-a-freeware-ringedge2-multi-project/?page=4&tab=comments#comment-82264

I do not have the keychip. Reading #11 lead me to think that the keychip wasn't necessary to obtain game keys, is this not the case?

Waiting on an SSD in the mail for Niko's now, hopefully it'll shed some light. Thanks!

The official RE2 multi is a different beast. The rental keys get returned or sega can fine you I believe. So a solid percentage of them never leave the hands they should be in.

How did you get the key, @revengemanx? Do you actually own the Keychip? Would you be willing to (privately) share the key with me?
The pinout for the AIME card readers are found here:

I wonder if there is a way to spoof the card reader? (I.E. connecting a power source to the 5v/GRD pins).
If not, AIME readers don't seem to be that expensive. Would be more than willing to purchase one if I can get past the initial Keychip. Thanks for your response.
