Archipel Agent's configuration file

Location

Archipel's configuration is read be agent at each startup. It can be found at /etc/archipel/archipel.conf

Needed modification when installing

When installing ArchipelAgent and running archipel-initinstall, the default configuration will be installed if nothing is found at path /etc/archipel/. Here are some tokens that needs your attention:

xmpp_server: You must enter the hostname of you ejabberd server (don't use IP)
xmpp_pubsub_server: You MUST leave the pubsub. prefix, this does not need to be resolvable
archipel_root_admins: If you have more than one admin, you can add their JID, separated by spaces
machine_ip: By default, this parameter is set to auto. But most of the time, you should enter the IP of the hypervisor manually or the resolvable hostname (fqdn). If you leave auto, pay attention to your /etc/hosts to avoid 127.0.x.1 static resolution.
hypervisor_xmpp_jid: This is the JID of the hypervisor. It must be unique over the platform.
qemu_img_bin_path: The path of qemu-img binary. Check this is correct
own_vmcast_url: [OPTIONAL] Set the a correct URL. It's up to you to serve VMCast's rss.xml file
use_xmlrpc_api: Set it to True to use the ejabberd XMLRPC API (**only if you have built ejabberd-xmlrpc module)
xmlrpc_host, xmlrpc_password and xmlrpc_user: If use_xmlrpc_api if True, you MUST fill these values

Default Archipel main configuration

You have the choice to put everything in the same file or split them per modules in /etc/archipel/modules.d/ (this is the default behavior).

Important Note: ConfigParser support inheritance. This mean that if you set an option to archipel.conf and also to modulexx.conf, the final value will be the one in modulexx.conf. [DEFAULT] section allow you to break this inheritance and set a default value.
