Hi. I'm using your fork for a bug-fix that isn't in norman/xmpppy, for www.github.com/liavkoren/feedbot. I know it can be a major PITA to package something up, but do you have any plans for a release?

Well the place on pypi is already taken by the first owner so I don't know how we could do proper release.

I realize it's three and a half years later, but:

  • Have you tried getting in touch with the first owner to see if you can officially take over?

  • If that fails, can you release it under a different name... like xmpppy2 or xmpppy-plus or whatever?

As this point, you'd better fork it and publish it your self. This is not really actively used anymore.

I'd fork it if there was anything that needs changing. But it works perfectly still. You did a great job.

Hi there,

we started to revamp the original library by integrating some contributions for fixing the most critical bugs and to add Python3 support, see xmpppy#29. Based on these changes, we released version 0.6.0 to PyPI.

On the one hand, I am asking for support to test this release on both Python2 and Python3 - and on the other hand, I am looking forward to integrate the valuable updates from this repository on top of the current master. Thanks already, Cyril!

With kind regards,
Andreas.
