https://jira.eso.org/browse/MET-2069

Section 4.7 describes the keywords that need to match between a raw file to be calibrated and the calibration(s) to be used with it.

Please confirm that no interpolation is foreseen in the use of calibrations, i.e. that a given calibration at a specific value of e.g. DET.DIT will not be approximated by interpolating calibrations at other values.

Can I just respond with (?)

"Yes, we can confirm that we will not interpolate calibration data"

Then make a ToDo to add this to the DRLD somewhere.
Where?

The idea is to only allow a specific set of DET.DIT and DET.NDIT for science observations, and that calibration data are also taken for those values. That is what the section was already intended to say. So we only need to clarify that, and perhaps be more explicit.

I'll think of something.

Answered with

Yes we confirm that no interpolation will be performed. We have updated the document to clarify this.

Maybe we don't need to match on DIT/NDIT at all, see #274
