Carousel: replaced image in synced image block within pattern is not replaced in Carousel

I commented there with more details about the root cause of the issue, and asked if this was something that could be fixed in Core directly.

Steps to reproduce

1. Install WordPress 6.6 (or the RC via the WordPress Beta Tester plugin)
2. Install the latest version of the Gutenberg plugin
3. Activate Jetpack
4. Connect it to WordPress.com
5. Go to Jetpack > Settings > Writing and enable the Carousel feature
6. Go to Posts > Add New
7. Add an image block, insert an image in there.
8. Click on the link icon in the block toolbar and set the image to link to its attachment page
9. In the block toolbar, create a pattern from that image block. Check the box for it to be synced.
10. In the block sidebar, click on "Advanced" and enable overrides.
11. Save your changes.
12. Go to Posts > Add New to create a new post
13. Insert the synced pattern you just created
14. Click on the image
15. Click on "Replace" and upload a new image instead
16. Publish your post
17. View your post on the frontend, and click on the image
    • The original image will open instead of the one you replaced.
