Contributing to GirlsScript Summer of Code 2024

Welcome to GirlsScript Summer of Code 2024! We're thrilled that you're considering contributing to our program. Here's how you can get started:

Ways to Contribute

There are several ways you can contribute to GirlsScript Summer of Code:

  1. Project Contributions: Contribute to one of our open-source projects by submitting bug fixes, adding new features, or improving documentation.

  2. Mentorship: Become a mentor and guide participants throughout the program. Share your knowledge, provide feedback, and help them grow their skills.

  3. Community Engagement: Help organize events, workshops, or webinars to engage with participants and the broader community. You can also contribute by spreading the word about the program on social media or through your network.

  4. Documentation: Improve our documentation by fixing errors, adding missing information, or creating new guides to help participants get started.

  5. Design: Contribute your design skills by creating logos, banners, or other visual assets for the program.

Getting Started

If you're new to open source or GirlsScript Summer of Code, here's how you can get started:

  1. Explore Projects: Take a look at our list of projects and find one that interests you. You can filter projects by programming language, difficulty level, or topic.

  2. Join the Community: Join our Discord or Slack community to connect with other participants, mentors, and organizers. Introduce yourself and let us know how you'd like to contribute.
