Hello!

Awesome work, thanks!

I'd like to have some icons modified or added to make a more authentic look.

  • In Nemo the Folder up icon looks like this: up
However, Windows XP Explorer has this icon as Up: up_16 up_24
    (Taken from shell32.dll)
    bitmap_24
    bitmap_26

  • Your battery icons are 16×16, but they are also available in 32×32 from batmeter.dll.
    bitmap_1
    bitmap_2

  • System tray icons (Icons For Cinnamon #1) do not appear for me, I think because they aren't in scalable folder.

  • User applet has no icon, I suggest one of these two figures:
    user

  • Archive icons are WinZip or WinRar icons, I suggest this as zip icon (taken from zipfldr.dll):
    icon_248 icon_249 icon_250

  • System Monitor icon could be taken from taskmgr.exe:
    taskmgr1 taskmgr2

  • Terminal icon could be taken from cmd.exe:
    icon_542 icon_543 icon_544

Thanks!

UPDATE: System tray icons didn't appear for me because I was connected via ethernet and was charging battery all the time. Wifi and charging icons appeared fine, so I guess only those two are missing from the status set.

@Elbullazul What a great project! I really like it!
I've done an amateur job myself, but it does't even come close to what the screenshot of your result looks like!
I would love to use your xp theme myself, but I have no clue how to. Could you help me out with a brief explanation how to install it on my own lubuntu system?

@Prikweg

  1. Go to the Code Section (First Section) of this repository
  2. Clone or Download > Download ZIP
  3. Save the ZIP and Extract It
  4. Show Hidden Files in your HOME FOLDER, and make sure a folder called .icons exists, if not, make it
  5. Move the extraction-product folder to that .icons folder
  6. Apply in LXAppearance

Fantastic! I'm a step closer to your result!
3 little details to go... At your screenshot it looks like you have to orriginal light blue for the system tray. And the close button at the right top in the titlebar of a window, is still blue. How can I make it red?
Finally, you have such a nice menu button, is it somewhere in the zip?

Was this ever updated? The last change I see was 2 years ago.

@mknepper it was not, maybe I'll do it before the end of the month
