Specifically, since we're using Scala, there is no need to build jars for the high-level Scala code (which is where most development will likely take place). Ideally, the "core developers" will figure out the way they'll work, and then share this approach with other folks on the team.

Some intermediate issues have been reported on the BIDMach issue tracker.

It would also be useful to figure out how to run IScala remotely (setting up security cert & password, per the script in ~dav on mercury).

@helgammal, did the instructions provided on this issue allow you to update and develop on the Scala code?
