Enable and prepare content translation

• Enable the Content Translation module
• Enable Multilingual support for content types: Enabled, with translation
• Configure URL alias pattern settings
• Enable transliteration
• Strings to Remove: Add strings for other languages, or: don't declare any strings here
• Check URL alias patterns for language specific needs
• Assign language to existing content

Thanks for merging the changes! I've enabled the module, associated existing nodes with English language, and updated the Meta issue description.

Update 28 nov 2017: started to translate content to German, not published for now

• upload French *.po file
• start making French content nodes

I've uploaded / imported the French Drupal 7 .po files (D7 core, Views and some other modules which are now part of Backdrop core).

We need someone else to translate the content to French.

In the meantime, the content has been translated to French by @opi. Closing this issue now, let's track actual translations somewhere else.
