The new NimBLE version 2 is disruptive for all existing code. It has a very large number of code breaking changes! Any existing code that is developed with version NimBLE 1.4.3 (or older) will no longer compile, when NimBLE version 2 is installed!

Keep NimBLE version 1.4.3 installed in your Arduino IDE, do not install NimBLE version 2!

It will take quite some time to accommodate version 2. Meanwhile: version 1.4.3 works fine!
