How to activate on server

Hi, i just started a local family minetest server and wanted to activate hunger.

i activated hunger and hud mod in the map configuration and start the server with a custom config file that loads the map configuration.

there is no hunger bar or something similar and no hearts are going away by time - what kind of configuration is missing to activate hunger?

Same issue here

EDIT : hud mod was not installed, installing it fixed this issue
