A new version of the Blockstream Satellite CLI is now available. This version updates the Galaxy 18 downlink frequency following the network update of March 3rd, 2023, and introduces:

  • Support for a new SDR receiver implementation (gr-dvbs2rx) available on Ubuntu 22.04 and Fedora 36+.
  • More efficient reporting to the satellite monitoring API.
  • Minor fixes on the installation of drivers for the USB receivers.
  • Improvements and new options on the satellite API commands

You can upgrade your CLI version by running the following command (see the quick reference guide):

sudo pip3 install blocksat-cli --upgrade

If you are running the CLI on Docker, an updated image is available in the Docker Hub repository. You can pull it by running the following:

docker pull blockstream/satellite:0.4.5
