corrupted notes

Hello, I'm using the application of Boost Notes and when I edit a file, save it, open a different file, and then go back to the previous file, my notes are corrupted.

I attached an image of my notes after they were messed up. I use boost notes to list my scripts in order so this isn't very good for me. A I doing something wrong or is this a possible bug? Does anyone else have this issue?

Hi,

Can you please specify the boost note application version you are using/installed?

Also which operating system and if possible a list of steps to reproduce the issue, with some example, in general, your steps seem like normal steps if you are doing all those in Boost note application?

Also, can you please give me some small Markdown examples and show the original (not corrupted) and corrupted version?

Thank you for the detailed info,

The note does seem totally messed up, did you try ctrl+r to reload the application and see if you can reproduce the issue?

Also, can you please open the developer console (shortcut ctrl+shift+i or View | Toggle Developer tools menu), and look at the console tab for any errors/issues that are listed (and screenshot the console and send it here)

I can tell you one thing, the ctrl+c should do nothing, i.e. it is not a shortcut to save the document, each document is auto-saved and uploaded to the server/synced.

Are you using VIM keymap mode or regular text edit mode?

Also, are the screenshot from the note/doc only content there is? Can you send me the raw markdown file?

If there is anything else in the doc, please try removing it so we can isolate the issue

After reloading the page, it appeared still messed up. The console displayed this warning about 10 times.

"DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not parse content for file:///C:/Users/olivia_brown/AppData/Local/Programs/boostnote.next/resources/app/compiled/core.js.map: Unexpected end of JSON input"

I'm pretty sure I'm using the regular text edit mode. Finally, there are more lines/content in that file. I don't think I can share it because it has company information in it.

I would suggest copying the content to a new document and see if the error is still persistent, if not it could be some problem with the imported file (tried reproducing it like that but could not get it to corrupt).

Otherwise, if you can reproduce it with any markdown (not confidential) it would be great to get the exact content, so I can try reproducing it.

I would try sign out / sign in, it might help but I doubt it.

For the error about the source map, this is normal, nothing out of ordinary.

Can you try disabling spell check and see if the error still happens?

It's an irrelevant error.

I imported a text file I had already

How did you import a text file?

hit CTRL+C to save (wasn't sure if auto-save was possible)

CTRL+C is just copying the content. we don't provide explicit saving.

made edits to the file I imported

What edits did you make?

saved that file then selected the previous file

How do you save the file? There is no save button in our app.

Can you take a screenshot of the network tab of the devtools? I'm assuming there should be some hint.

2. Open the dev tools and the network tab.
3. Reproduce the problem.
4. Take some screenshots of the network tab.
