Make CarterConfigurator properties publicly accessible

Is there a specific reason for keeping CarterConfigurator properties as internal? I'm developing a custom scan module and need access to these configurators for my work. Could you please make read-only properties publicly accessible, or at least make the ModuleTypes accessible?
Or is there any way I can access these configurators outside of the Carter assembly?
