Summary

This epic encapsulates all the remaining tasks to complete the initial Common Node API FIP, associated specification, and tooling.

Motivation

See FIP.

Tasks

FIP Document

  • Finalize and update list of methods (google sheet)
    • Ensure a concise description is provided and properly formatted (captialized, periods, etc)
  • Update FIP document to include changes to methods
  • Review sections for conciseness, relevance and clarity
  • Add definition for equality

Openrpc-checker & Spec Repo

  • Deploy new repo for spec
  • Update spec repo to use openrpc-checker
  • Update Forest methods to include the spec method descriptions #5273
  • Establish canonical specification and include in repo
  • Update FIP doc with link to new repo
  • Add GHA to automatically fetch Lotus/Forest documents when new releases are published
  • Add GHA to open an issue when spec differences are found
