This is covered in FAQ:

A: There is a built in burden resistor if the output is rated in volts. In this case the corresponding jumper on the rear of the meter should be severed.

I guess it you do not sever the onboard burden resistor, then overall resistance is going to be less --> less voltage --> more gain factor to get correct reading? This means I have to re-calibrate my transformers.
