I'm new to git hub and unsure if I can use git hub in this way (Asking for help and answers with a post). But I'm looking for a way to create a logon/logoff button where the logon feature prompts the 802.1X username and password from settings. When logged in the logoff icon activates and you can log out again. Pressing logoff deletes the 802.1X username and password in settings.
Is this even possible to do with the macros in room navigator? And if so, how could we get a colaboration going to develop this? I apreaciate any reply, even if it is to tell me that I need to reach out in a different way, hehe.

It might be possible. For example, you can add a panel with two button on the touch, one is for logoff (disable 802.1x), the other for logon (prompt users to enter username and password). Check the APIs below for details: https://roomos.cisco.com/xapi/Configuration.Network[1].IEEE8021X.Identity/
I just thought of one snag though. While the touch panel is offline, will it have access to the macros?
I guess you would have to manually get the touch panel online, connect to the codec to get the macros as a first time set up. But what happenes when you log off (essentially losing network conectivity to the codec). Will the macro dissapear?
I examined your API commands and will try to test it on an actual touch panel.
