Do we need a documentation website? If so, I can help contribute to it through pull requests.

Hi @YeSuX, thanks for reaching out. It might be nice to have a landing page of sorts to present our "open source" presence. Did you mean this or documentation for something else?

@YeSuX, awesome 👍 It would be great to think about what we want to achieve with the landing page, why it is important, and the requirements for achieving this.

Thoughts?

There are many benefits:

  1. Enhancing Brand Recognition and Credibility: By participating in open-source communities, a company can demonstrate its commitment to open-source culture, thereby improving its reputation within the industry. A professional landing page can serve as evidence of the company's support for open-source projects, helping to establish a strong brand image.

  2. Clear Communication of Information: A landing page allows you to clearly and concisely convey your message or value proposition, without making visitors navigate through unrelated sections of the website.

  3. Enhanced User Experience: With a well-designed interface and intuitive layout, a landing page can provide a pleasant user experience, making it easier for visitors to obtain the information they need and take action.

  4. SEO Advantages: By optimizing the content of the landing page for specific keywords, you can improve your ranking in search engine results, attracting more of the target audience.

Recently I will do a landing page demo project, and I can show it to you later. However, I may only have a framework, and I will need your suggestions for the specific content.

This is a very simple landing page, with unattractive content and layout. Let me show you the effect, and if you think it's good, we can discuss the layout and other details of the website.

@katnovakovic - might make sense to bring this effort under the OSPO repository? Can discuss more next week! We've had a couple of other volunteers coming forward offering a hand 👋

hi @JamieSlome
I would like to discuss a few key points regarding OSPO Landing page project to ensure we are moving in the right direction.

  1. To better organize and manage the code for the landing page, I suggest we create a new repository under citi's github.
  2. To ensure the smooth progress of the project and encourage more contributors to participate, I plan to establish a detailed roadmap. This will cover all phases of the project, from initiation to final deployment, including expected milestones and task assignments. I believe this will be a good way to foster team collaboration and track project progress.
  3. I would like to hear your opinion on the best platform for project-related discussions. I personally lean towards using GitHub for discussions, as it allows for more open sharing of ideas and aligns with our goal of promoting an open-source culture. However, I also recognize that Teams might be more convenient and efficient for daily communications. Which platform do you think would better suit our needs?
