Full stops at the end of every metadata value

For the three notes fields (Description (Performance Note); Item Note; Recording Note), it looks like when there are full-stops at the end of the sentence, there is no comma to separate multiple values. Where there is no full-stop, a comma is used to separate values.

However, there is now a full-stop at the end of all of the metadata values. I assume this is linked to the work on the notes fields above but is there a way to remove the automatically added full stop (i.e. not already in the metadata) for all other fields?
