input field looses content when switching sidebar window

I am experiencing a frustrating issue with the Codeium extension in Visual Studio Code. Whenever I switch windows in the sidebar to open a different file, the content in the input field of the Codeium extension gets lost. This happens when I want to insert a code block into a different file by copying it from another source. I dont see a way to preventing it, but to open an additional sidebar only for codeium. can't you pls add a cache chat input setting that temp. caches the user input?
