Adding scent to the CogTool Project window

For the new CogTool user the new Project screen is not very scent-y. What are the available actions?

What are the available actions?
Let’s consider ways to expose this in the UI. (These items are accessible in the window’s UI via a pull-down menu or a context menu, and that’s good, but not as scent-y as it could be.)

Project (New Open) (Scenty 1st Step)

One way might be through a New + button in the status bar of the project window (shown above).

There are essential tasks that pertain to the Design that we can make visible in the UI, namely Edit Design.

Much of the project windows relies on the Context Menus, but how would one discover the context menu? Let’s add an affordance to single a context menu is available. Also, I would recommend grouping these different, all script items together. I would sort them with the most common options closest to the cursor, usually at the top, Edit Script, and less oft used options furthest from the cursor, ex. Export to CSV.

Project (Task Design context)

Final version with signifiers added, increasing the scent and the usability for new CogTool users.
