Currently my thought is to use the "title" global attribute of the netCDF files which seems to be 'MZ4-GEOS5-....' for the MOZART derived ones; I could have gc2moz.py add the "title" attribute with the value "GEOS-Chem", then the automation could automatically append "_GC" to the MOZBC input file name when the netCDF file is a GEOS-Chem derived one.
