  • Graviton Guide

    Gravitons shall be able to:

    • Make an effort to be present and accessible to the community, bringing high vibes and improving relationships, bringing the community together.
    • Separate the people from problems. Making parties identify with themselves and the other as equals, rather than centering on their own conflictive thoughts-feelings.
    • Self-determinate from all parties and recognize key management points by analyzing the information gathered.
    • Promote empathy between conflicting parties with emotional intelligence. Building proximity from the abstraction of the problem and the humanization of apparent antithesis.
    • Adapt their mindset for tolerance to conflictive situations, keeping calm and diplomacy to stand as an independent third party.
    • Propose alternatives to deal with paradoxes while looking for the coexistence and attraction of opposites.
    • Act according to institutional regulations while implementing actions to frame unwanted behavior within rules and boundaries (Terms & conditions / Codes of conduct / Graduated sanctions)

  • Gravity - Role design Dec '20

    Rules and boundaries are key for managing Common Pool Resources, and monitoring gives legitimacy to agreements toward maintaining trust and collective goodwill.

    We are proposing a mutual-monitoring system, where each one of us can inform any issue (through the Gravity Typeform 3) to a designated group of members in the community, that will assume the following responsibilities:

  • Gravity Working Group Dec '20 

    The Gravity Working Group aims to help maintain equilibrium and well-being in decentralized communities through nonviolent communication, transformational approach to conflicts, and a system that provides easy access to management protocols.

  • Gravity - Onboarding Dec '20

    An open and inclusive process will be run Two times a year to include all the interested people in the training and selection of a group of mediators in the organization, who will also facilitate and train members of the collective in the various proactive and reactive participatory activities like practice groups, forum posts and Discord channels; giving feedback on policy and procedures for the relevant working groups as needed.

    This short course aims to make people in the TEC understand the cultural principles to reproduce in the community and provide capacitation around non violent communication, understanding of conflicts and techniques to manage it (internally, individually and collectively), with the purpose of promoting trust into our shared rules and boundaries.

    Functions for Alternative Dispute Resolution in DAOs

Post mediation: Gravity acts as a witness and facilitator of the settlement of the dispute and will keep track of agreements and follow up, but each part acquires responsibilities associated with implementation. if the issue persists, it can scale to other Dispute resolution mechanisms for arbitration or litigation.
