what is the difference between CimpleG, CimpleG-parab, CimpleG-unscaled, and oner?

The difference between the these different methods is the following:

  • CimpleG: is the default and recommended method, described in our paper here.
  • CimpleG-parab: is a method based on our previous work here that uses DNAm under a specific space (difference in means, sum of variances) with an iterative parabola, to select the candidate probes.
  • CimpleG-unscaled and oner: are legacy code and deprecated, it will be removed soon
