As of e0d7e15 the .git dir is 59 MB. The checkout is 7 MB. I guess the history of some big files takes most the space.

Top space consumers I found:

• Historical data 2.9 MB. I guess it is for caching purposes. I suggest replacing it with scripts to generate it from the blockchain.
• AWS framework 1.3 MB. If possible pull it as dependency.
• Fonts 1 MB. This could be my personal issue, I disable web fonts for security and all icons look weird. If possible, please use png or svg icons to store.. icons, using fonts for icons seems abusive. Again I'm not a web dev, so this is highly subjective.

Honestly, I would strip these and force push if it's not too late (0 forks atm) to have download size under a few megabytes.
