As of 22.10, writing continuous notes of the same length in your sequencer will produce a single, long gate instead of one gate per note as the Host MIDI Gate module receives MIDI information.
E.g. you're using the Host MIDI Gate module to trigger several different sounds in a drum patch. You write a 1/4 bar drum roll with 1/32 notes for your snare drum. However, the snare drum will only trigger once because (I suspect) note-offs last 1ms, which makes notes slightly overlap, and because the 1/32 notes are right next to each other, you'll end up with a single, long gate.
To fix this, you must manually shorten the 1/32 notes in your sequencer; an extra step that, in my opinion, would be unnecessary if the Host MIDI Gate module had a MIDI-to-trigger option/toggle.
Is such a feature possible to implement?
Note: a gate-to-trigger module would not work in this case.
