When the MPs report their status, they should include their current time and synchronization status. For DAG cards, this is per CI, for others its the status of the NTP sync.
I've just experienced two synced MPS that were 360s apart, despite the dag cards were PPS synced.. Hence, if the MP includes its time, we can on the MARC detect 'differences'. And possibly send a 'adjust' time signal to the MPs so all MPs in a MAr will at least be synced. to each other.
