Hello,
This plugin has been working flawlessly for the last 2 years but for some reasons, the accessory is responding and after few minutes the EcoPlug stops responding. Even though the plug-in is still running.

Any idea ?

Thanks!

Hmm, no idea. Did you restart homebridge? What about unplugging and re-plugging the EcoPlugs?

Already did unfortunately.

did anything change on your network? Do the plugs respond to the EcoPlug app?

The plug does answer through the app, I changed only one thing a few week ago, I deactivated the SIP protocol, it was causing issue with my voip setup. Can it be related ?

I wouldn't think so. Anything in the homebridge logs to indicate a problem?
I'm running one of these still and have no issues.

I'm running my homebridge setup over windows on multiple instance, therefore I didn't activated the logs... but when I run the plug-in over the windows cmd, everything goes ok, and I have no message letting me know that the plug-in stopped responding.

Chiming to say that am also not having any issues with the plugin, and am running the latest version of homebridge

As an aside I have been slowly flashing all my devices with the Tasmota firmware and over the next 30-60 days plan on retiring this plugin from the ecosystem ( I have about 2 dozen of these, got a killer deal when Home Depot cleared them out years ago). Been following this to flash the devices. http://thegreatgeekery.blogspot.com/2016/02/ecoplug-wifi-switch-hacking.html

And have been building a new plugin homebridge-tasmota to integrate them into HomeBridge.

Nice.. thanks. I have a few Merkury branded plugs that I've flashed with HAA (https://github.com/RavenSystem/esp-homekit-devices) I like this version of the FW since its customizable and runs its own 'homebridge' server so all I need to do is add to Homekit without adding to my homebridge instance

Well ... don't laugh at me guys. Even though I had reset everything previously, I just got a power failure and it looks like it fixed the issue.

Thanks !

Interesting ! I'm looking forward to flash this thing :)

@Danimal4326 I had looked at those ESP8266/HomeKit options, but as I leverage Homebridge for Alexa integration and node-red automation I'm sticking with homebridge as the glue layer in my setup at this time. I found that the Tasmota firmware is pretty mature and has a very wide community for integrating new devices.

I'm actually having this same issue. It's been working flawlessly for years but recently after updating homebridge it now works for a few minutes and then says no response and dies...

Edit: recycling power to the switch seems to have resolved the issue.

Could you explain what you mean with recycling the power to the switch? I’m having the same issue that out nowhere EcoPlug stopped working on Homebridge while it works fine on the EcoPlug app.

Turn it off and on again!
