Project Overview

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on our lives, and understanding the data behind it is crucial for making informed decisions and combating the spread of the virus. In this project, I leverage my SQL skills and Microsoft SQL Server to analyze various aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic using publicly available data sources.

Dataset

The project utilizes a comprehensive and up-to-date dataset that encompasses COVID-19 data from around the globe. This dataset includes information on confirmed cases, deaths, testing, vaccinations and other relevant variables that provide a holistic view of the pandemic's progression.

Analysis and Insights

By harnessing the power of SQL queries and the capabilities of Microsoft SQL Server, I perform in-depth analysis on the COVID-19 data. Some key areas I explore include:

  • Trends and Patterns: I uncover trends and patterns in the data to identify spikes, declines, and fluctuations in the number of COVID-19 cases over time.
  • Geographical Analysis: I examine the geographical distribution of cases, exploring hotspots, and regional variations.
  • Testing and Vaccination: I analyze testing rates, vaccination progress, and their impact on the pandemic's trajectory, shedding light on the effectiveness of these interventions.

SQL and Microsoft SQL Server Expertise

Throughout this project, I showcase my proficiency in SQL and Microsoft SQL Server. I leverage SQL queries to manipulate and transform the data, perform complex aggregations, filter datasets based on specific criteria, and generate insightful queries using Microsoft SQL Server.
