We often have two parallel formats, code and text. So the question is how we might go from one to the other. Not urgent, something to think about this summer.

  1. Notebook to text. Spencer said this isn't do hard. Remind me what you had in mind.
  2. Text (md) to code. The early chapters all have code snippets. Could we write a script that simply collects all of them in a py file?

Thoughts welcome.

  1. Jupyter can convert from notebook to markdown file. See: https://ipython.org/ipython-doc/3/notebook/nbconvert.html
  2. Could probably write something which does this. I think O'Reilly has live code blocks in their books, but I can't find the article I read about it.
