Hi folks,

Cannot recall, is this portable? Was there an install?

I'd like to know how to totally remove WUMGR including any registry or stary files outside its folder.

Much appreciated.

Thanks.

there was never an installable version of WuMgr as it's just an app, a portable one.

simply delete the wumgr.exe and wumgr.ini files (and Translation.ini file if using Wumgr in another language than English) are you are done - no registry entries for wumgr were made while using wumgr :)

Thanks. Reason I ask is I am virtually sure using this changed my Windows Updates. I do not see optionals and feature updates appear in the single list of updates. Most people report differently.

I just got the same issue as you have.
Wumgr seems to hide windows update settings once you disable auto updates.

This is how to get it back:

RUN - gpedit.msc

Changed Computer Configuration>Administrative Templates>Control Panel>Settings Page Visibility to Disabled. That is I want to see the Settings Page

Changed User Configuration>Administrative Templates>Control Panel>Show Only Specified Control Pane Items to Disabled. That is let me see all the settings.

Hey dude I just wanted to say I love you. Spent weeks trying to fix this. Almost reinstalled Windows 11 completely

On my PC it edited HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate to force or not the download of GPU drivers.
If I leave the newly created "ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate=1", the built-in WU doesn't search for GPU drivers (which I read it should be the default on W21H1) but then it says "Some settings are managed by your organization"; if I delete that registry key it will want to update my GPU though.
I can live with the first option, I just would like to know exactly what changes are done to the registry, and maybe some uninstall.bat to remove them would be good, thank you anyway.
